1940s Toi et Moi 14k Gold Cultured Pearls and Diamond Ring

$ 525.00

Toi et Moi is French for “you and me” which gives away the romantic meaning behind this style of ring, the joining of two souls in love. This classic 1940s Toi et Moi 14k gold ring is a delicate and dainty example of the design, featuring two 5 mm cultured pearls with a beautiful nacre (luster). Next to the pearls, two round diamonds that amount to .02cts sit in square white gold settings decorated with a millegrain edge. Toi et Moi rings can be made with any gemstone; sometimes the stones are chosen based on their various meanings or of course the fashion of the time. Pearls are often equated with elegance and style. However, they can also represent loyalty and prosperity which are both things one would wish for a couple whether they’ve been together for three years or thirty.
