1930s Silver Vermeil Pisces Intaglio Pendant Necklace

$ 425.00

There may be plenty of fish in the sea, but not many are as lovely as this glass and silver vermeil Pisces intaglio pendant. From the 1930s, the peridot colored glass is a lovely green (very reminiscent of vaseline glass) and stunningly faceted, including its canted corners. In addition there are yellow gold accents to the intaglio that beautifully highlight the relief details in the twin fish. Truly exceptional, the intaglio is securely double-prong set in 835 silver with an unusually light gold vermeil for a very subtle yellow tone to the setting. This pendant is most likely German or Austrian. It is paired with a sterling silver chain from Italy.

Hallmarks

Marked "835" on the bail of pendant and "925 Italy" on the chain.
