1920s Sterling Silver Two Headed Snake Ring

$ 295.00

While the two-headed snake is often a symbol of indecision, the choice is obvious when it comes to this ring: gotta have it! This sterling silver piece was made in the 1920s and has individual scales stamped all the way around the shank. Snake motif jewelry dates back a couple of millennia and had periodic resurgences in popularity over the last few centuries due to archeological discoveries. This coiled concoction is the result of 1920s Egyptomania born from the discovery of King Tutankhamun's tomb.

Condition
Very Good antique condition. Has lovely antique patina and minimal signs of wear commensurate with age. A few of the scales have been worn down ever so slightly and there is a visible solder joint at the back of the shank which could be cleaned up when sized to fit you.

The inside is marked “925.”

Measurements
Currently size 7.5, could be resized to fit. The face of the ring is ½” from top to bottom and ½” from coil to coil.
