Circa 1870 French Belle Epoque 800 Silver and Paste Necklace with Faux Pearls

$ 650.00

This gorgeous 800 silver necklace with French touchmarks features a foliate vine design decorated with twinkling closed back paste stones, a central faux pearl, and a dainty dangling faux pearl drop. The boar mark on the reverse indicates that it was made in Paris; there is also a makers mark that we were unable to identify. The necklace was crafted around 1870 during the start of the Belle Epoque era and it definitely shares the romance and grace that characterize the designs of that period. It is a genuinely dreamy piece of the past.
