This Czech glass bib necklace is just dripping with Deco delicacy. Czech glass has been an admired and desirable material since the Renaissance, but gained especial popularity in the later part of the 19th century into the early 20th century when the Czechs began to mass produce and export the glass. This led to its use in jewelry production all over Europe, including a lot of incredible Art Deco pieces featuring the beautiful and high quality beads. In this particular piece, the beads are a luscious red, accented by brass filigree. The filigree and glass are individually linked with wire, adding to its intricate but architectural design and making it a wonderfully ornate and lacy piece that is sure to make people stop and stare.
