1940s Coral Daffodils Celluloid Necklace

$ 295.00

In this charming bouquet of a bib necklace, eleven coral celluloid daffodils hang from a chain of the same material, finished off with brass findings. Celluloid was the earliest form of plastic. Patented in 1869, celluloid was the first man-made plastic. It was used to create everything from billiard balls to vanity sets, and lots and lots of jewelry.  The materials make this piece light and easy, and you will radiate a springtime brightness and add a friendly pop of color wherever you wear this.

Condition

Very Good vintage condition. The only flaw in this necklace is a small chip in one petal of the second flower from the left that is incredibly difficult to notice as all of the dangling flowers overlap each other.

Measurements

Flowers measure 1 1/8" in diameter. Chain is 18" in length.
