1940s Handwrought White Brass Snake Bracelet with Onyx Eyes

$ 450.00

If our logo hasn’t tipped you off yet, snake jewelry is kind of our obsession here at Icon Style. And who can blame us? Snake jewelry has been adored for centuries, going all the way back to Ancient Egypt and Greece. This friendly looking little snake was created during a huge surge in popularity in the 1940s. Designers drew inspiration from ancient ornaments, the serpent jewelry of the Victorian age, and especially the Egyptian Revival of the 20s to create some truly beautiful pieces that are highly sought today. This white brass snake is a lovely example of a retro snake bracelet.  It is completely handwrought with delicate scales and clearly no detail was left unattended as the inside of the bracelet is also designed to resemble a snake’s underbelly. It’s hard not to let this charming snake slither into your heart when it looks up at you with those sweet little onyx eyes. It’s no wonder that snake jewelry continues to be popular even today.
