The lustrous little pearly whites adorning this 1920s gilt brass necklace hail from Mississippi river mussels. The pearls appear to emerge from ornate flower buds decorated with geometric patterns and the links on the necklace feature tiny blossoms. There is something very fairytale-like about this necklace; it wouldn't look out of place around the neck of a character from a Harry Clarke illustration. It would easily add a romantic touch to any ensemble.
Excellent antique condition.
The necklace is 16” in length and the ten brass and pearl elements measure 3/4” long and 1/2” wide.
