1980s Huge Valentino Garavani Pavé Rhinestone Frog Brooch

You don't have to kiss this frog to figure out it's royalty, the sparkle gives it away. You wouldn't expect anything less from a Valentino piece. Valentino Garavani debuted his fashion brand in 1962 and his designs have embodied the ideal of chic feminine couture ever since. Although he is known as a clothing designer, he has also produced some gorgeous costume jewelry over the years and his vintage pieces dating from before he sold the company in 1998 are especially sought for their lavish yet elegant designs. This impressively regal 1980s gold-tone frog brooch is particularly glamorous. The piece is encrusted with rhinestones and is centered by a large faceted ruby red belly that fully embodies the essence of a whimsical crown jewel.  All eyes will be on you at the party with this frog prince accompanying you.

Condition

Excellent vintage condition. There is a most minor imperfection to plating on the right foot from the manufacturing process (see photo).
