This circa 1860 gold-filled signet ring features a delicately crafted shield framed by a floral wreath in applied rose and green gold. The area behind the shield is textured to resemble wood, invoking some serious enchanted forest vibes. This is a fairy-like antique that is dainty yet incredibly eye-catching. The shield can easily be engraved with an initial or meaningful symbol to make the piece truly one of a kind.
Good antique condition. There are a few scratches on the front of the shield and there is wear to the plating on the band and back of the shield which is consistent with age, but the front of the piece retains all the original applied gold. The shield is slightly crimped in one corner (see photos). However, as evidenced in the photos this ring is still really beautiful when worn.
The ring is size 6 and can not be resized. The shield measures 5/8” long by 1/2” wide.
