Post 1944 Georg Jensen Denmark Tulip Sterling Silver Brooch with Original Pouch #100A

$ 325.00

Tulips generally represent love and cheerfulness, but some also believe that planting tulips in your garden will bring good luck. If rabbit feet and four leaf clovers aren’t your thing than try this brooch out or give it to a friend as a very unique good luck charm. This delicate sterling silver Georg Jensen brooch with a scrolling tulip and bulb motif framing a silver sphere is a lovely example of the timeless Scandinavian design that Jensen is admired for. Georg Jensen opened his workshop in 1904 and quickly became a huge success. By combining his background in the arts with his silversmithing skills, he was able to create beautiful Art Nouveau pieces combining natural motifs in flowing forms that captivated the public and still do to this day. The piece features a Georg Jensen mark that dates it after 1944, a “100A” design mark, and its original pouch.
