They're a fun and sparkly accessory that's easy to admire on your hand while working at home, but also the perfect treat in anticipation of fun things to come after a dark year. There are a lot of parallels we can draw between now and 100 years ago, including the growing popularity in cocktail rings! So lets take a quick dive into the history of this iconic piece of jewelry.
This week we honor a trendsetter in the jewelry world, Elsa Peretti. She was revolutionary in sterling silver jewelry design, creating timeless pieces. Vogue magazine describes her as “arguably the most successful woman ever to work in the jewelry field.” Sadly we lost a legend when Peretti passed away last week. This Sunday Brunch will highlight some of her beloved designs as well as showcase some pieces that invoke her style.

This newsletter will give you a look further into our collection, showcasing even more lovelies from each wave! The opulent, enchanting, and mysterious designs of Egyptian Revival jewelry are continuously reborn and reinvented along side archeological discoveries (Tutankhamun 1922) and Hollywood blockbusters (Cleopatra 1963). Some of the pieces featured in this newsletter were even made in Egypt, celebrating the country's rich history and heritage.
Today's Sunday Brunch focuses on one of our store's specialties; Czech Glass! The art of glass making in the Czech Republic can be traced all the way back to the Middle Ages resulting in a fantastic array of different styles and techniques. Czech glass has been prized for its beauty and quality for hundreds of years, but became a particularly popular medium in jewelry in the early 20th century, when jewelry makers from all over enchanted the public with colorful Czech glass beads and stones.
